The staggered individual feed system exhibits particularly gentle handling of the feed material. Vibration is only used in the vicinity of the linear feed rails.

A brushless electric motor, controlled by the energy-efficient PFC100 intelligent controller, is used to drive the feed plates. The controller also regulates the conveyor speed, which promotes smooth feeding of the parts.

This gentle handling of parts and low friction feeding ensures that particle accumulation is kept to an absolute minimum. However, there is also the option of adding vacuum suction equipment to improve technical cleanliness at certain interface points. The DEPRAG CleanFeed concept is also available for every processing step of the feed system at every step, from component handling and feeding to fixturing, to prevent, reduce and eliminate abrasion.

The step feeder can also be optionally combined with DEPRAG storage systems. They are the ideal complement for optimum processing, ensuring a constant filling volume and extended refilling intervals. The Eacy step feeder is of course also compatible with other DEPRAG automation components, such as the DEPRAG DFM feeding module, the DEPRAG and DCOS screwing function modules, the DEPRAG control system.

The high feed speed, long service life and compact size, specifically for longer feed pieces, provide an alternative to vibratory spiral feeders and sword feeders.

Main features of the step feeder

The feed material is silently fed in stages on linear feed plates from the storage container to the feed rails. A brushless electric motor, controlled by the energy-efficient PFC100 intelligent controller, is used to drive the feed plates. The controller also regulates the conveyor speed, which promotes smooth feeding of the parts.

The integrated sequence controller PFC100 regulates the complete feed process for the -EP and 11911-x designs used in combination with hand-held screwdrivers. Each new cycle is triggered by a start impulse. This significantly reduces integration into higher-level system controllers. Alternatively, the system can also be controlled by an external PLC / IPC controller. Direct integration into IPC environments is also an option with the PFCi100.

The feed material is geometrically aligned on the feed rails. Then, a linear conveyor transports the feed parts to the separator. Fill level sensors in the storage vessel and the feed rails measure and regulate the feed rate. In the separator, the feed material is separated and pre-positioned to be shot through the feed hose or to be picked up with a vacuum tool or gripper. However, there is also the option of adding vacuum suction equipment to improve technical cleanliness at certain interface points.
