This controller can also manage up to three different connections ofMICROMAT-F and MINIMAT-F series screwdriver models.

The fc20 function control is distinguished by extremely high process reliability, individual configuration of the screw process through free programmability, integrated torque measurement function, extensive diagnostic and analysis possibilities, as well as the possibility of comprehensive documentation and convenient operator guidance.

Highest process reliability: up to 100% controlled

The quality criteria related to the screwdriving process areautomatically monitored and analyzed. In case of a faulty screw assembly cycle, e.g. due to mishandling of the screwdriver, faulty assembly materials or an interrupted screw assembly cycle, the fault can be reset by the operator or if preferred by a qualified specialist by using the available password protection function. The positive clutch shutdown function is monitored via an internal sensor, also comparing the minimum/maximum screw assembly time per screw and the number of good screw joints per production part to the preset values on the controller. Only positive feedback of all individual signals allows a part change:100% process reliability.

Individual configuration of the screw process through free programmability

With its convincing variety, the fc20 resolutely sets an exclamation mark: For a maximum of 7 sequences each consisting of up to 99 programs, any screwing process can be generated individually.

The new fc20 contains freely usable power outputs. It is therefore easy to integrate a part locking function into the assembly process. The operator can also program additional processing steps himself.
The new function control recognizes sensors from up to three parts and thus ensures reliable presence and positioning control even of multi-level parts.

Torque measurement functions, comprehensive diagnostics and evaluation possibilities

Comprehensive diagnostic possibilities complete the broad application spectrum of the fc20 screwdriver control. By using an optional external rotary transducer, the operator can monitor the screwdriver torque directly on the workpiece to be assembled, which is a great relief for maintenance and quality management. The integrated diagnostic functions are able to test every input and output of the control and, in addition, display its operating status. An internal voltage monitoring ensures the continuous functional safety of the fc20.

Possibility of comprehensive documentation

For each product, the assemblies that took placeare clearly assigned. An optional connected barcode reader reads the barcode on any part to be assembled and then stores the final values for each individual assembly together with this barcode. These final values are stored for seven days and can be transmitted for production traceabilityvia the integrated serial port to a PC. In that way, each program step is statistically retained. The number of good and bad assemblies as well as the average assembly time enable control and optimization of the assembly process. Communication with a host controller (PLC or industrial PC) is possible via the integrated 24V I/O port. The fc20 offers five power outputs.

Highest operator-friendliness through graphic touch screen

An integrated graphic touch screen with a clear structure and color-coded differentiation of the results leads the operator intuitively to the desired submenus. The submenus allow simple selection of assembly sequences, programs and diagnostic functions.
