Extends recharge intervals

Belt-driven hoppers are the ideal complement to feeding systems to dramatically increase the required filling intervals. A fill level sensor that is installed in the feeder system sends a signal to a controller when the minimum fill level is reached. The controller activates the hopper and the feeder will refill through the outlet chute until the fill level sensor indicates that the desired fill level has been reached. Depending on the required fill volume, filling intervals can be reduced to once or twice per shift, freeing your staff for other tasks.

Constant filling volume

A hopper ensures constant filling volume in your feeding system. Especially when using a vibratory feeder system, a hopper is advantageous. A vibratory feeder actually requires a certain filling mass to function properly. This means: if the vibratory bowl is too full and therefore heavy, the feeding system slows down. If the vibratory bowl becomes empty, the vibration intensity increases. Both conditions reduce the feed volume and increase wear. Only a constant filling volume allows optimized adjustment of your vibratory feeder system.

Gentle handling of parts

The vibration duration of a feeding system can be minimized when using a belt hopper. Gentler handling of the feeding component is possible if the vibratory bowl is not too full and the feeding process is fast. A hopper supports these conditions by uniformly filling a vibratory bowl with just the right volume.

Flexible

A DEPRAG hopper is a flexible device that can be used for different parts; no costly reconditioning is necessary. The outlet chute of the hopper can be adjusted to perfectly match the size of the feeding component. Additional adjustment possibilities allow the hopper to be adjusted in two different directions.

Low noise level and wear resistant.

The hopper incorporates a completely sealed outlet chute, which results in considerable noise reduction. An optional noise barrier can be supplied with all our vibratory drives, which is specially designed to work with our hoppers. This ensures a low noise level of the fully enclosed vibratory drive even when combined with a hopper.

The use of wear-resistant materials ensures the high quality, fast availability and excellent efficiency of our storage devices.

Easy to control and simple to operate

DEPRAG hoppers are equipped with a 24 V geared motor. They allow a PLC to easily control the unit using the appropriate output. The geared motor can also be activated manually by means of an integrated button. This is an advantage during hopper filling, because the contents can be moved effortlessly into the outlet chute.

Each device is delivered with complete documentation , which clearly describes the installation and operation of the hopper.

As accessories, we offer an adjustment for the outlet ramp (for inclination adjustment). Height adjustable housing support, foot support, as well as a sensor indicating the position of the channel.
