Sword feeder

The sword feeder is an alternative solution to a vibratory feeder if extremely gentle and wear-resistant feeding is required. The sword feeder is available in two designs, with a filling volume of 0.15 liters or 1.5 liters.

Accurate position classification

The components to be conveyed are removed from the hopper by the turning movement of a specially designed segment rail. Through gravity, the components slide, supported by mechanical deflectors, onto the infeed rail. Incorrectly positioned material is guided back into the hopper by mechanical deflectors.

The intensity of transport is self-regulating.

A sensor in the feed rail regulates the amount of turning movements required. If an operator does not process many fasteners, then the feeder delivers a smaller amount.

Efficient: the device operates at an operator’s individual pace

If more than one operator works with the same screw feeder, the efficiency of the workflow depends on the different operating speed of the individual worker.
A DEPRAG feeding device adjusts to the operating speed of each individual worker. When shifts change, the individual operator’s parameter can be recalled (the device can store up to 10 different sets of parameters). No operator is overwhelmed or slowed down.
Through an optional RFID (radio frequency identification) interface system, personal settings that were once entered on the screen can be easily activated with an operator chip.

Low noise level

The low noise level of the sword (segment) feeder provides a high level of user acceptance in production. Due to the unique construction of the separator as well as the use of a cycle-adapted control, DEPRAG sword feeders are especially quiet.

The high level of production depth, the use of wear-resistant materials as well as specific coating procedures during the manufacture of the vibratory bowls ensure a consistently high product quality, high device uptime and outstanding efficiency of our sword feeders. DEPRAG sword feeders are distinguished by a high feeding speed of up to 30 parts per minute.
