Air motors are safe and robust drive systems, which are used when a powerful and safe overload drive is required.

An indestructible air motor drives the milling head of a renovation robot. This robust, small air motor operates in extreme conditions (dirt, water, etc.) while achieving high power density and reliability. If overloaded, the air motor will stop and will not be damaged. When the load is removed, it can immediately run again. This can occur repeatedly even at high duty cycles. The speed can be easily changed by air pressure and volume. The air motor operates within an extreme torque range.
