Your airmotor is very flexible:
The speed can be adjusted to fit your requirements.
The change of speed can be achieved by varying the air pressure, changing the air volume or more commonly by means of a combined pressure and air volume regulation.
Speed change by load change:
The speed of the air motor automatically adapts to load changes.
This means that, unloaded, the air motor runs at idle speed.
If there is an increased load (low torque), the rated speed approaches idle speed.
With higher load (higher torque), the speed decreases.
Energy efficiency:
An air motor reaches its maximum power when it is operating as close as possible to its rated speed (50% of rated no-load speed). The energy balance is better in this area because compressed air is used efficiently.

Speed control by air volume:
By throttling the exhaust air, a reduction in air motor speed is achieved without a significant loss of performance or torque. If you want to reduce power output or torque in addition to speed, an air intake throttle is recommended.
Speed regulation by air pressure:
The DEPRAG air motor operating data is based on an operating air pressure of 6 bar. By adjusting the pressure in the range of 4 to 6.3 bar you can manipulate the speed, power, torque and air consumption of your air motor without any problems. The following correction factors are applicable to achieve the desired adaptation:
