DEPRAG – For fully automated and efficient production

Mounting a touch screen for an automotive on-board computer

Mandatory process:

Semi-automatic manual workstation for the assembly of 9 products

Cycle time:
only 5.5 seconds, including all monitoring and analysis of the process.

The semi-automatic manual workstation with housing and PCB scanner recognition is suitable for two different product varieties and can be easily expanded for more.

Integrated process reliability This system is connected to a host PLC via the Ethernet module. Through scanner recognition, the correct identification of the serial number of each product with the corresponding part accessory is possible. Error messages are immediately transferred to the data management system and must be acknowledged manually by the operator on the touch panel. At the next workstation, where the fixture is to be scanned again, the process-reliable display shows whether it is a defective part.

Station 1: manual loading
The operator scans and manually loads 9 parts into the parts fixture, which after insertion into the rotary index table is locked by a spring-loaded latch.

Station 2: Press-insertion Presence control and positioning
Press-insertion of preloaded parts
Station 3: Screwing Turning of the press-fit inserts
Feeding of the lock nut by means of a feed hose and vacuum handling system
Checking the presence of the nut and verifying the positioning
Tightening of the lock nut to torque

Station 1: unloading and reloading with new parts
