Several physical principles are available for torque acquisition: current torque elements with strain gauge, parasitic current transducers, hydraulic or spring elements, piezoelectric crystals.
The essential quality characteristic for the different technologies is the high natural frequency necessary to acquire highly dynamic signals, a sufficient mechanical stiffness, a sufficient mechanical rigidity, a high linearity and a general insensitivity to interference and wear.
Depending on the application, we offer torque transducer with 2 different physical principles:
- DMS transducer (strain gauge technology)
- PE transducer (Piezo electrical measurement technology)
In connection with specifically adapted measurement electronics, all our torque transducers are suitable for applications in screwdriving technology.
The main advantage of the DMS (strain gauge) transducer is the relatively low-cost production. Whereas the well-known Piezo Electric transducers excel through access to a wide measuring range and extremely robust equipment design.
