When connected to a measuring readout transducer, each DEPRAG ME (Measuring Electronic) series torque measuring instrument provides accurate and highly dynamic measurement of torque values.
Examples of applications are
- supervision, control and torque setting of screwdrivers
- control and calibration of mechanical torque wrenches
- control of integrated DEPRAG screwdriver spindles without removing the spindle from an assembly machine
- verification and documentation of assembly quality in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 quality requirements
The measuring instruments can operate in the following operating modes (Modi):
- In a single measurement with the maximum value display with this mode, all incoming measurements are recorded and the highest single value, detected during the entire duration of the measurement, is displayed as the measurement result.
- During the measurement series mode, the maximum values of several individual measurements are automatically summarized in a measurement series. From the measurement series, essential statistical values such as the mean torque value X and the standard deviation S are calculated.
- The single measurement with display of the currently prevailing torque value is an operating mode of the ME5600 measuring instrument.
Functional principle of measuring instruments connected to a given torque transducer:
- Piezoelectric transducer
The electrical charge produced by the transducer is transformed into an analog measurement signal by a specially tuned charge amplifier. - Voltage measurement transducer
An analog load signal is already available on the DMS transducers. - External rotary, non-contact transducer
The non-contact transducer creates a torque-proportional output load from 0 to 5 volts.
All DEPRAG measuring instruments of the ME5…. and ME6…. series allow the connection of the three transducers mentioned above.
Using a fast, high-resolution AD converter , the torque value is displayed accurately and digitally even in a highly dynamic tightening process.
Naturally, all relevant measurement metrics are traceable according to national standards. We offer a comprehensive calibration service for regular control of your measuring instrument.
The standard software incorporates a choice of units of measurement (metric/inches) as well as language (German/English).
All measurements are recognizable on the display. Depending on the instrument design, the values can additionally be sent to one of our printers (large accessory line) or to a main host computer.
Torque measuring device ME5000
The mobile and compact ME5000 measuring device with integrated battery enables a torque measurement independent of location or power supply. For example, it is ideal for obtaining the optimum setting value of a screwdriver directly at the assembly station.
The ME5000 includes a docking station and a battery charger. The recorded measured values can be transmitted via a serial port of the docking station to a PC or printed out on the ND 40 printer (see accessories).
Torque measuring device ME5500
The ME5500 electronic measurement for connection to a PC is the ideal measuring device for a stationary calibration laboratory. In addition to all commonly required torque measurement functions, this software also allows you to carry out a detailed analysis of the screw joint. This function will display the complete cycle procedure – torque over time – for a measurement series. The required graphical analysis program is included as standard.
The operation of this device, the display and printout of measured values and data processing is carried out directly on your PC, which is connected to the measuring device via a USB 2.0 port. Your advantage: You can easily process large amounts of data (e.g. with a commonly available statistics program) – all data are available on your PC as an ASCII file.
Torque measuring device ME5600
The electronic ME5600 measuring electronics is the ideal measuring device for use in a mobile measuring station or measuring laboratory; it will perform on-site inspection and adjustment of all types of screwdriving tools.
The actually occurring torque value can be re-entered and displayed with the ME5600 electronic measurement. Another great advantage of this measuring instrument is the high resolution of the measurement data and the recording of large measurement series of up to 100 values.
All values are displayed graphically on the LC display. The device can be easily operated with the touch screen. Data can be sent to several printers (see accessories).
ME6000 / ME6100 Torque Measuring Device
The ME6000 electronic measuring instrument (measuring range up to 480 Nm) and the ME6100 (measuring range up to 1000 Nm) with a linearity of < 0.5% and accuracy of < ±0.5% FS have been added to the DEPRAG portfolio of torque measuring devices. They are high quality precision measuring devices that are even twice as accurate as the reliable ME5400 and are highly recommended for tasks where measuring accuracy of 0.5 % is desirable. This is essential for torque below 0.5 Nm (for the DEPRAG NANOMAT and MICROMAT screwdriver families).
The high-resolution 15-bit system is suitable for all torque transducers. Small measuring ranges can be measured with high accuracy over a large range (min. 1:10). In addition to all functions for torque recording, the software can also perform a detailed analysis of the software, which shows the cycle procedure “torque over time period” of a measurement cycle. The required chart analysis program is included as
Standard. The software can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows systems.
