When the preset torque value is reached, the screwdriver stops via the extremely precise shut-off clutch.
In connection with the pneumatic control and a sensor on the screwdriver (MICROMAT-F/MINIMAT-F), the multifunction control is able to set the correct screw assembly sequence. The screw tightening time is compared to a pre-programmed minimum/maximum time window. If the scrw tightening is too short (cross thread) or too long (stripped screw), the operator is alerted by a fault message. In addition, the on-board sensor confirms that the screwdriver is enabled until the clutch mechanism disengages, ensuring that the cycle was not terminated as a result of the operator lifting the screwdriver prematurely. This confirms that the tightening process was carried out correctly without material failure or operator influence.
In addition, the number of bolt assembly operations per part can be controlled – no bolt will be forgotten!
Reliable monitoring of the step/failure process is only guaranteed with the use of a non-reversible screwdriver. In order to ensure the best possible process quality, we recommend applying right-hand rotation controllers whenever possible.

When connected to an automatic screw feeder, the screw feed is controlled by the multifunction control. The controller is connected to the screw feeder using an optionally available SZG connection set.
