SENSOMAT stationary air-operated screwdrivers with a mechanical clutch function are particularly suitable for applications such as

The SENSOMAT was designed for screw assemblies where the driving torque(thread forming force) is close to, or even higher than, the seating torque. It is possible to equip this screwdriver with a mechanical clutch lock,which allows safe assembly of thread forming or thread cutting screws. Damaging over-tightening of the screw is impossible.
The SENSOMAT drives the screwwith full motor power. Shortly before the screw bottom comes out, the shut-off clutch is activated and thedriver shuts offexactly at the preset torque. The screw is fully seated without any damage to the screw thread.
Using our specially designed locking clutch, it guarantees a torque accuracy of ≤3 % standard deviation, independent of the screw joint. In many cases and under suitable conditions, even higher torque accuracy is possible and a Cmk value of ≥ 1.67 can be achieved even with a tolerance of 15 %. This kind of accuracy means that the error rate is below 0.6 errors per million assemblies. To further increase the processing reliability, it is possible to additionally control the screw depth and the screwdriver shut-off.
